Lead the grid strategy for a rapidly scaling renewable energy developer.

Viridis Talent is proud to be partnering exclusively with a fast-growing renewable energy developer in Germany. With a substantial land portfolio and an ambitious pipeline of solar, wind, and energy storage projects, they are now seeking a Head of Grid Connection to join their senior leadership team.

This is a rare opportunity to shape grid strategy at a pivotal stage of the company’s growth — influencing key project decisions and building internal capability across BESS, PV, and wind energy.

🌍 The Opportunity:

As the company’s in-house grid expert, you will:

  • Take full ownership of all grid connection processes across Germany.

  • Evaluate grid capacity and manage connection applications from feasibility through to execution.

  • Engage with TSOs, DSOs, and regulatory bodies to secure optimal connection solutions.

  • Collaborate with project development and engineering teams to align grid strategy with project timelines.

  • Manage external consultants and drive best practices across the business.

  • Help establish and grow an internal grid team as the business scales.

👤 Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in grid connection or electrical engineering within the renewable energy sector.

  • Strong knowledge of the German grid landscape, including VDE regulations and the EEG.

  • Proven track record working with TSOs and DSOs to secure grid access for utility-scale projects.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Fluent in German; professional English is an advantage.

  • Willing to travel for project meetings and be present at the company’s office 2–3 days per week.
