Senior Sales Manager – Utility-Scale Solar | USA

Viridis Talent is supporting a leading global Tier 1 solar module manufacturer in the search for a Senior Sales Manager to drive sales growth across the United States.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced solar sales professional with an established network in the US utility market to join a rapidly growing organisation at a pivotal stage of its North American expansion.
The role will be predominantly focused on utility-scale solar sales, with additional responsibility for opportunities across the Distributed Generation and Commercial & Industrial markets.
For the right individual, this position offers a genuine pathway to progress into a National Head of Sales role as the business continues to scale across the USA.
The Opportunity
You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building long-term relationships with developers, EPCs, IPPs and other key customers, and delivering significant revenue growth across the US market.
Working closely with technical, commercial and marketing teams, you will manage the full sales lifecycle from identifying new opportunities through to contract negotiation, order confirmation and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies for utility-scale PV module sales across the USA.
- Drive new business development with developers, EPCs, IPPs, utilities and strategic partners.
- Build and manage long-term relationships with key customers.
- Identify and convert opportunities across Utility, DG and C&I markets.
- Lead commercial negotiations through to contract award.
- Deliver against annual sales, revenue and margin targets.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecasts and activity reports.
- Provide market intelligence, competitor analysis and customer feedback to senior leadership.
- Work closely with technical, product, operations and marketing teams to support successful project delivery.
- Represent the business at major industry conferences, exhibitions and customer meetings.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of sales experience within the US solar industry.
- Proven experience selling into the utility-scale solar market.
- Strong relationships with US developers, EPCs, IPPs and other key industry stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of the US solar market and project development lifecycle.
- Demonstrated success negotiating and closing large commercial agreements.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially driven, self-motivated and comfortable working remotely.
- Willingness to travel throughout the United States.
