Electrical Engineer – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

Location: Texas (Hybrid)

Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 + Bonus + Benefits

The Opportunity

As Battery Energy Storage continues to become one of the fastest-growing sectors within the US energy market, our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design, development and deployment of utility-scale BESS projects across ERCOT.

This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge energy storage projects that will play a critical role in strengthening grid reliability and supporting the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

• Support electrical design and technical due diligence for utility-scale BESS projects
• Review single-line diagrams, equipment specifications and system designs
• Coordinate with OEMs, consultants, utilities and EPC contractors
• Support interconnection applications and grid compliance requirements
• Conduct technical assessments and identify engineering risks
• Assist project development and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards and regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Experience within Battery Energy Storage, Solar PV, Power Generation or Transmission projects
• Knowledge of medium and high-voltage electrical systems
• Familiarity with ERCOT markets and interconnection processes is highly desirable
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
